Angela Barnes brings extensive senior-level experience in leadership development and learning initiatives that align people, strategy, and performance. Throughout her career, she has designed and implemented programs that strengthen leadership capabilities and supported organizational effectiveness across complex environments. 

Certifications

MBTI Certified Practitioner

Angela Barnes is a certified practitioner of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®), a widely used framework that identifies how individuals prefer to gather information, make decisions, communicate, and interact with the world.

She applies these insights to strengthen leadership effectiveness, reduce friction within teams, and improve collaboration by helping people understand both their own styles and those of others. Used within leadership development, executive coaching, and team initiatives, MBTI® work translates greater self-awareness into more productive working relationships and stronger organizational performance.

Master of Science in Education, Learning Design and Technology

This degree enables Angela Barnes to: 

 

  • understand and apply best practices including competency mapping, job task analyses and needs assessments
     

  • apply project methodology (DMADV) to facilitate organizational changes
     

  • apply Kotter’s 8-Step Change Model when examining six key areas of an organization for process improvements:  information, structure, people, rewards, learning systems and work processes
     

  • use Articulate StoryLine 360 and similiar authoring tools for e-learning course development; tech-savvy, able to quickly learn new tools
     

  • develop effective strategies, training and support materials by applying instructional design theories and principles such as the ADDIE or Dick and Carey models or Gagné's Conditions of Learning and evaluate using methodologies like Kirkpatrick's Four-Levels of Evaluation or Kaufman's Five-Levels

DDI Certified Facilitator

As an earner of the Facilitator Certification Process Workshop badge, Angela Barnes has demonstrated the competencies required to become an expert facilitator. creating safe learning environments, respond to learner needs, promote behavior change, and help the transfer learning to the job. She able to deliver all courses in DDI’s Interaction Management® system.

As a Certified facilitator of The Leadership Challenge®, experienced in delivering evidence-based leadership development using the LPI®: Leadership Practices Inventory®, Angela Barnes guides leaders in strengthening the Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership—modeling the way, inspiring a shared vision, challenging the process, enabling others to act, and encouraging the heart—to improve effectiveness and organizational performance.
